We here at dbuc.blogspot.com recommend...pt.IV
BIG FISH, by Tim Burton, is a fairy tale encased in deathbed reconciliation between father and son. There are many factors woven in here, many themes, and the imagery, once again, is fantastic. To me, the strongest messege is to never underestimate the affect that you have on those that you encounter in your life, because you do have an effect on everyone (it's one of those things that sounds cheesey to say, but is dramatically more effective). There is also the Willy Loman theme of the lost soul dreamer that never was, the alsoran...and the sadness of being a big fish in a little town.
