We here at dbuc.blogspot.com recommend...pt.II

ATANARJUAT, (THE FAST RUNNER), by Zacharias Kunuk, is the first film release in Canada that was written, directed, and acted in the language of Inuktitut, which is the language of the Inuit people of the North.
The thing that stands out for me in this film is the amazing camera work...it is beautiful and crisp, and truly portrays the landscape of the North. I found it absolutely mesmerizing, the most beautiful natural imagery I've seen on film.
Based on an Inuit legend, the film details the competition between two men for the love of a lady, and the consequent act of retribution of one of the men, ending in the death of the brother of Antanarjuat, who then sets out on a quest for spiritual awareness before returning to his community.
