Bright lights, Big City

View from second floor patio while we were eating asado. The sky at night here is always a yellow/red mix from the lights.

Indulging...2

La gata me permitió sacarle algunas fotos, y después saltó en una manera tipica de los gatos.

Another installment/category...

This was taken while at the tour of the Japanese Gardens...I don't know what it's called or where it's from, but it was strange and I liked the colors.

Trusting, barely...1

The one constant with street dogs here in Argentina (this was in Uruguay, and since I was there for only a few hours, I'll generalize with Argentina instead) is that they are all very trusting, and relatively complacent. They know that they depend on humans for their food, so they're willing to put up with anything, in the hope of getting some food. So, this in turn, has allowed me to come into close contact with a number, and I've started a series of close-ups with dogs and cats as the subjects. This was not the first, but it's the only one I had readily available.

the view from my bedroom window...1

I've been somewhat taken with the view from my bedroom window since I moved in more or less five months ago. The sky has changed with the seasons, and depending on the time of day, the balance between city and sky is amazing. This photo was taken at around 8 or 9 at night.

apartment blocks, recoleta, bs,as

The city of Buenos Aires is a densely packed metropolis, with some 3 million inhabitants in the center, and some 10 million in the suburbs. These apartment buildings, by most standards here, are built fairly far apart, and the tenents likely have an amazing view. I like the curved effect of the tall buildings to fit the lense.

A minimalist's start...

On the way to Uruguay to renew my visa for Argentina. After the concrete of Buenos Aires, any open air is welcomed, any note of nature. The lighting was perfect for this photo, forming a black and white world, with one irritating blue spot...
